2023 edition of ‘I Just Did It’ book featuring inspiring customer service stories in retail launched

The latest edition of the book ‘I Just Did It’ brought out by Images Group in association with TRRAIN was launched at the 12th edition of the TRRAIN Retail Awards 2023

Mumbai: The latest edition of the book ‘I just Did It’ was launched on 23 February 2023 amid the presence of top leaders of retail. The joint initiative between Images Group and nonprofit Trust for Retailers & Retail Associates of India (TRRAIN), the book was unveiled at the 12th edition of the (TRRAIN) Retail Awards 2023 was held at Hotel Westin, Powai in Mumbai on 23 February 2023.

The book is a collection of the inspirational and heart-warming stories of 20 customer service associates who went out beyond their call of duty to provide exemplary customer service. The customer service associates featured are the winners of the TRRAIN Retail Awards 2023, presented by Nexus Malls and powered by magicpin.

Ranked as the only award in the country, honouring and recognizing retail sales associates for excellence in customer service, TRRAIN Awards is an annual celebration flagship event for the organisation.

With 15,000+ entries received from 116 cities in 11 years and 100+ winners, TRRAIN awards have not only set a new benchmark for customer service but have also impacted the lives of hundreds of retail associates, both at work and at home.

The awards were given in the following categories:

The General Category Awards (National Winners) for the retail associates, applied by the HR team, was given in the ‘Customer Service Excellence’ categories. The customer service excellence categories consisted of apparel & accessories, department stores, electronics, food (supermarket & hypermarket), restaurant (QSR) and specialty stores.  The retail associates from Being Human, Tata, M&S, Big Basket, Metro, TCNS, Star Market were some of the winners in the respective categories.

The Special Category awards were also announced in the ‘Person with Disability, Integrity National Winner and Being Human National Winner categories’.  The HR initiative of the Year was awarded to Inorbit malls, Puma and Lifestyle International Pvt. Ltd., whereas the ‘Inclusive Workplace Award’ went to Big Basket and Inorbit malls. Reliance Retail, Apollo Pharmacy and Optival Health Solutions Pvt. Ltd. won the awards in the different categories of RASCI Skill category.

“TRRAIN Retail Awards is forging ahead in its endeavor to honor and recognise the retail associates who go above and beyond to delight the customers. In its decade-plus journey, there have been numerous inspiring customer service stories, and with each passing year, they continue to amaze and inspire us,” says Ameesha Prabhu, CEO, TRRAIN.

“Retail associates are the face of the company who unconsciously and seamlessly reflect their company’s ethos, values, and philosophy. No matter what, be it unforgiving weather, distance, physical challenges and even a global pandemic, retail associates have surmounted these difficulties and surpassed customer expectations,” she added further.

Founded in 2011 by B S Nagesh, TRRAIN is a public charitable trust, which works towards empowering people through retail. Retail Employees’ Day, celebrated every year on 12th December, is a day dedicated to the millions of retail associates. TRRAIN has reached over 100 million individuals in the digital space and has seen more than 1000 brands, 100+ malls and over 8 lakh Kirana store owners celebrate this day in India. Over the years, Retail Employees’ Day is celebrated globally across 31 countries.
