Sugar Cosmetics opens its 150th EBO in Pondicherry

Bengaluru: Sugar Cosmetics, a homegrown cruelty-free makeup brand achieved a milestone of operating 150 EBOs with the launch of a new outlet at Providence Mall, Pondicherry, announced Ashish Singh, senior retail manager of Sugar Cosmetics in a LinkedIn post.

“I Would like to take this opportunity to thank you all the stakeholders involved in this journey and growth since day one and showering their love to our beloved Sugar Cosmetics brand,” said Singh.

The Mumbai-based beauty brand is expanding its offline presence with the addition of more brick-and-mortar stores across the country. In January 2023, Sugar Cosmetics launched more than six stores in locations including Bangalore, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Ranchi, Siliguri, and Secunderabad.

Recently, the company reached another milestone of 50 High Street Stores with the opening of a new outlet at Anna Nagar East, Chennai. Read more about it here. In June 2022, the company opened doors to its 100th standalone outlet at VR Chennai, Anna Nagar.

Sugar Cosmetics was founded by Vineeta Singh and Kaushik Mukherjee in 2015. After primarily working as a D2C brand early on, the brand quickly expanded into offline trade in 2017. It currently operates 125+ stores on its own and plans to ramp up this count to 200 stores by March 2023.

During the fiscal year ending March 2022, the brand has managed to increase its topline by 75.6% to Rs 222 crore.
