Unifab Creation, started in 2008 as an FOB vendor to the retail giant, Future Group, to manufacture denims for their brands–Lee Cooper, Bare and UMM. They were also exporting to Dubai to brands like Austin Reed, Iconic and Bench. In 2013, the group launched Ripfly men‘s denimwear bran which now has presence in more than 150 A+ MBOs in India. Later, the group saw the potential in denim kidswear and launched Sodacan in 2014.
Brand USP: The brand boast latest trend in denimwear at affordable price without compromising on quality. The denim are priced between `799 and `1,099 in cotton elastane and have six different options.
Target customers: The brand, Ripfly targets men, while Sodacan targets boys between the age group of 3 and14 years.
No. of Indian cities currently present in: The brand has presence in 60 cities across the country.
Total no. of MBOs: 150+
No. of MBOs added in 2014: 50
New territories or regions added: The brand added 5 territories for summer 15.
Future plans: The prime target is to expand the presence in multi-brand outlets. It plans to add 250 more MBOs in 2015. The next focus will be on large format stores offering more ranges.
Targeted cities in the next couple of years: To venture into South India is on the priority on the target list.
Brand turnover (estimated for cy2014): Rs 4.5 crore.
