Must Read

Chef Rishi Verma is a firm exponent of the culture of eating fresh, and healthy food without losing  on taste. In charge of overall food production and menu standardisation at Sattviko, he is chiefly involved in discovering new sattvik dishes and implementing them in the restaurant’s menu. His daily challenge is to ensure that the food served at Sattviko is not only sourced from the finest quality ingredients but also retains its intrinsic flavour.

One of the most significant mile stones of his life was donning the chef’s hat after convincing his parents that this is where he had found his true calling. Having worked with some of  the best chefs in the country from Oberoi Group, and Accor and Taj Group of Hotels have helped him hone his gastronomic skills and master the secrets of culinary art. Verma is a certified internal auditor by ISO 22000 that deals in food hygiene. He was also among the Top 5 chefs in the Young Chef’s Culinary Challenge 2010 in Bangalore and was awarded with a certificate of commendation.

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Hotel Management from the Welcomgroup Graduate School of Hotel Administration. He believes learning is a lifelong process and absorbs something new every day of his life.
