New Delhi: Premium luggage brand Samsonite India has launched a new store at Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport, Kolkata as per a social media post by an official related to the development. This comes after the successful launch of the brand’s store at Indira Gandhi International Airport, Delhi.
“After the success of our Delhi Airport Store, we are thrilled to announce the opening of our newest Samsonite Brand Store at the Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport, Kolkata,” Anirudh Gupta, Director, Sai Enterprises, who looks after the operations of Samsonite India’s outlets, wrote in a LinkedIn post.
The new store is Kolkata’s sixth Samsonite store. The other five stores are located in Saltlake, Hindustan Park, Humayun Place, Quest Mall, and Southcity Mall, as per the brand’s official website.
Samsonite’s products are sold in over 100 countries and deal with luggage, suitcases, and bags. Samsonite South Asia Private Limited is engaged in selling products through wholesale and distribution channels as well as retail through franchisee stores in India.
In September 2022, Samsonite partnered with the Indian Olympic Association, a sports governance body recognized by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sport, to provide suitcases and luggage for athletes participating in the 19th Asian Games held in Hangzhou, China.
