The fashion e-commerce platform has introduced an array of global brands, stretching from Portugal to the United Kingdom in 2023

Bengaluru: Fashion e-commerce platform Myntra has curated a robust selection of renowned global brands in India in 2023, further strengthening its international label portfolio.

The Bengaluru-based online marketplace currently houses over 6,000 Indian and global fashion, beauty and lifestyle brands on its platform. As of December 2023, Myntra retails over 400 foreign brands including H&M, Levis, U.S. Polo Assn., Tommy Hilfiger, Mango, Nautica, Forever 21, Slazenger, Marks & Spencer, Crocs, M.A.C, and Fossil. Notably, this roster has seen a significant increase in 2023.

Explore the array of six global brands, spanning from Portugal to the United Kingdom, that Myntra unveiled and reintroduced to the Indian market in 2023 (arranged in the descending order of launch dates).

Portuguese fashion accessories brand Parfois has marked its foray into the Indian market in its partnership with Myntra in December 2023.

The brand offers over 250 options of handbags, totes and slings to begin with, at an average selling price of Rs 2,000. Customers are also provided with benefits like a flat 20% price reduction as a part of the brand’s launch offers.

Parfois was founded in 1994 by Manuela Medeiros and it specialises in bags, shoes, apparel, and accessories like jewellery, sunglasses, scarves, hats, and gloves, among others. In 2019, the brand reached a milestone of 1,000 stores and today, it is present in around over 70 countries.

Anne Klein

Myntra introduced the American fashion and accessory brand Anne Klein to the Indian market in October 2023, in collaboration with Apparel Group, a UAE-based fashion and lifestyle retail conglomerate. The brand was launched in time for Myntra’s festive sale Big Fashion Festival (BFF).

Anne Klein offers over 100 handbag bag options ranging across products such as totes, slings and satchels starting at a price of Rs 4,500. The brand added another 150 product variants on Myntra by the end of October.

Anne Klein was founded in 1968 as a women’s sportswear brand and launched its first designer store in 1970 inside the department store Saks Fifth Avenue as a free-standing Anne Klein Corner. In 1976, the brand expanded its product category to become a complete lifestyle brand.

Oasis

Myntra has on-boarded British womenswear brand Oasis in July 2023. Oasis is the sixth brand from the online fashion retail giant Boohoo Group to be available on Myntra, after Boohoo Woman, Boohoo Man, Nasty Gal, Miss Pap, and Dorothy Perkins.

Oasis offers products across categories such as clothing, footwear and accessories along with a range of its sustainable collection. The brand is enabled with an Online Brand Store (OBS) and considerable on-app visibility to build affinity with shoppers on Myntra.

Founded in 1991, Oasis witnessed a transition in ownership, with Aurora Fashions taking the reins in 2009, and ultimately, in 2020, the brand came under the ownership of the Boohoo Group.

UK-based fashion and lifestyle brand Next re-entered the Indian Market with Myntra in April 2023. The brand previously exited the market in 2015 after operating in India for around eight years, according to DFU Publications

Next offers over 500 stock keeping units (SKUs) from the men’s, women’s and kids’ casual wear segment on the platform at an average selling price of Rs 2,200. Its product range includes clothing, footwear, accessories, and home decor.

Next was founded by Joseph Hepworth in 1981. The Leicestershire-based retailer operates over 650 stores worldwide across the UK, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East.

Myntra acquired the distribution and management rights for the global fashion brand French Connection and its sub-brand FCUK in April 2023.

As a part of the licensing agreement, Myntra re-launched the brands in India, and is assisting French Connection and FCUK with wholesale distribution through a network of independent third-party franchise partners and authorised distributors.

Apart from its online brand store (OBS) on Myntra, both the brands also have a presence across Myntra’s social commerce platforms, M-Studio and M-Live to strengthen its presence further.

Founded in 1972 by Stephen Marks, French Connection is a UK-based global retailer and wholesaler of fashion clothing, accessories and homeware. Its sub-brand FCUK was launched in 1997. French Connection designs, produces and distributes products to more than 50 countries around the world through its main distribution channels: retail stores, ecommerce, wholesale and licensing.

BoohooMAN

Men’s clothing and accessories brand BoohooMAN has forayed into the Indian market in association with Myntra in March 2023. The brand is housed under a dedicated online brand store (OBS) on the e-commerce platform.

BoohooMAN was launched in 2016 as a men’s streetwear brand and today it is present in over 15 countries.

In December 2022, Myntra facilitated the entry of the UK-based fashion house Boohoo Group, the parent company of boohooMAN, into the Indian market for the first time. The company has a portfolio of 13  brands across categories such as clothing, accessories and beauty.
