Bengaluru: Croma, a consumer durables and electronics (CDE) retail chain run by Infiniti Retail Ltd. has opened over 20 stores in three months between January-March 2023, according to a compilation of multiple social media posts by company officials.

The latest outlets opened in February and March 2023 are located at Vijayapura (Karnataka), Gottigere (Bengaluru), Nacharam (Hyderabad), West Patel Nagar (New Delhi), Ongole (Andhra Pradesh), Mohali (Punjab), Malviya Nagar (New Delhi), Hotgi Road (Solapur) and Kanpur (Uttar Pradesh).

IndiaRetailing has compiled the figures from LinkedIn posts by Infiniti Retail officials.

In January 2023, the retailer celebrated the launch of its 300th store in Chennai at Sholinganallur. Currently, the company has 19 stores in Tamil Nadu.

Apart from the Chennai outlet Croma opened new stores in different locations in January including Gangapur Road (Nasik), Enikepadu (Vijayawada), Nagarbhavi (Bengaluru), Ankleshwar (Gujarat), Jalna Road (Aurangabad), Hathijan (Ahmedabad), Jalna (Maharashtra), Vapi (Gujarat), Jaipur (Rajasthan), Panipat (Haryana), Faizabad Road (Lucknow), Panchkula (Haryana) and Gandhinagar, (Ahmedabad).

Tata Group-owned Infiniti Retail has drawn up a rapid expansion plan for FY (fiscal year) 2023. Croma has been expanding its footprint in Tier II and III towns to reach more people, the company announced in a release. Read more about it here. Croma launched around 100 new stores in FY22.

Headquartered in Mumbai, the retail chain was founded in October 2006 with its first retail store in Juhu, Mumbai. Its product range covers more than 16,000 products from over 550 brands across the electronics and consumer durable categories. Currently, the company operates stores in over 100 cities across India.
