In a year which was written off by the pandemic, Nexus Malls stood true the values of Care, Customer Centricity, Excellence and Innovation. In the 10th Edition of the World HRD Congress and Awards 2021 by Times Ascent, Nexus Malls won the ‘Dream Employer of the Year’.
Nexus Malls has already won the Great Places to Work award earlier this year, this is the second accolade won by Nexus Malls to prove their commitment and employee friendliness. During these uncertain times, Nexus Malls were committed to their people across the board. They not only retained their entire workforce, but also ensured there were no major financial implications during these times. In fact, we went a step ahead and onboarded a full time doctor to look after the mental and emotional well being of all our work force.
Nexus Malls have been at the forefront when it comes to business and footfall recovery. Malls across the country were forced to shut down because of the pandemic in the middle of March 2019 and did not do any business in Q1 of FY 2019-20. Since then, the various campaigns done across malls to reassure the customers about their safety, to giving assured prizes to all those who shop across malls and recovering over 80% business over Q2 and Q4, the journey has been remarkable.
The 29th edition of World HRD Congress awards function was held at Taj Lands End Mumbai on February 16, 2021.
Awards are given to institutions annually for the best HR practices under different categories. This year, the awardees were chosen based on business-related HR sensitivity, communication effectiveness, innovations and change in management within and towards employees during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The eminent jury consists of the best in the industry.
Nexus Malls is a fully-owned subsidiary of global PE major Blackstone Group. It’s Chief Executive Officer is Dalip Sehgal.
