Baazar Kolkata, a Kolkata based apparel retailer, has opened its first showroom in Malda. Spread over an area of 6,750 sq. ft. the store is made with an investment of Rs. 2 crore.
According to Rishav Goenka, Retail Head of Baazar Kolkata, tier II cities are very important for their brand because they are largely untapped and hold a lot of potential.
Baazar Kolkata has a strong presence in Eastern India with its stores in cities such as Kolkata, Agartala, Jamshedpur, Bhilai, Cuttack, Guwahati, Asansol etc.
Talking about Baazar Kolkata’s expansion plans Goenka said: "We are trying to penetrate more deep into East India for now. Within this financial year we will be coming up in one more town in West Bengal."
