The Bamboo Tree is a new spa, opened in Bandra, Mumbai in September. It has a number of new things on offer — the fish therapy for exfoliation of dead skin, and special massage therapies such as lymph draining, sports massage, maternity massage, etc.
Says Farooq A Merchant, Owner, Bamboo Tree: “We have introduced the bamboo massage and exotic candle massage in which the candle melts into aromatic oils, and then this warm oil is used for a massage for therapies in October.” The spa also does spa manicures and pedicures and foot reflexology.
The 1,000 square foot space is done up in warm colors and has a garden area for customers to relax in, and is exclusively a woman’s day spa in contrast to the unisex spas at other locations.
“As for growth plans, we intend to plan open a few more centers in Mumbai and Pune. We are also open to work out a franchise plan, which is still in the process of finalization,” says Farooq A Merchant.
