Pizza Hut plans to introduce new delivery concept

Yum! Brands, owner of the Pizza Hut, is in talks with its roaster agencies about a new pizza delivery concept, known as PHD (value pizza pick-up and delivery platform), according to the Pizza Hut spokesperson. PHD is already being trialed in the UK and Ireland.

The stores have a hot and fast delivery policy that offers in-store customers web access and iPod docks while they wait. It also offers home delivery and an online service that is also PHD branded. “Yum! is working also plans to develop an advert that can be used across markets,” added Pizza Hut spokesperson.

The PHD trial comes months after Pizza Hut’s decision to temporarily re-launch as Pasta Hut, in a bid to highlight the extent of its menu offer.
