Lee Cooper, one of the leading fashion and lifestyle global brands, is celebrating its 100 years of existence, and their exclusive footwear licensee in India, M&B footwear Pvt. Ltd is jubilant about it.

The celebration of the brand turning 100 will begin on ‘8.8.8’ (August 8, 2008). World over, an assortment of fashion faces have teamed up to launch Project 100, under which a series of designs under Lee Cooper brand name will be auctioned off for Red Cross.

Giles Deacon, Jade Jagger, and Jean-Paul Castelbajac are some of the celebrities involved in the initiative, which will result in 100 different products going under the hammer at auction house Drouot Montaigne in Paris.

Various contests, events and other initiatives for 100 years of Lee Cooper, as also the brand’s history can be viewed on www.leecooper100.com.

M&B, too, plans to announce its agenda to celebrate the brand’s presence in India as well as highlight its achievements in this centenary year. “Marking 100 years of Lee Cooper, M&B has lined up some initiatives that will be announced soon enough for the brand’s patrons in India,” Vikas Bagga, vice president – sales & marketing at M&B, told Indiaretailing.

In 2006, Lee Cooper International conferred M&B with the Best Licensee Award, across all product categories, while 2007 saw Lee Cooper International renewing M&B’s licensee for a period of another 11 years.
