Dabur to take a plunge in retail sector

Dabur India, one of the biggest FMCG player in the country, has planned to enter the retail market. The company plans to roll out 300-400 retail outlets in next few years. These outlets will be based on health and beauty platform, across the country over the next few years.

Sources in the know have suggested that outlets will be on the lines of foreign health and beauty retailers. These would sell pharmaceutical and OTC products along with products like confectionery, health food, personal and baby care products. It is believed that the company is not tying up with any foreign partner, but it is adding foreign work force with wide experience in the retail sector, to help it run this business.
