Volvo Cars India, a subsidiary of Swedish car maker Volvo Corporation, has announced its entry into the Indian car market.

The company will launch its sedan S80 and a sport-utility vehicle, XC90, by next month. The cars will be sold through the company dealers, one each in Delhi, Mumbai and Chandigarh.

Volvo Cars, which will be importing both the models, has priced the petrol variant of its S80 in the Rs 39-40.7 lakh slot, while the diesel variant will cost Rs 38-39.6 lakh. The XC90’s petrol variant is priced Rs 46-48 lakh, with the diesel version kept at Rs 45-47 lakh.
