The new Lee Cooper store is located at Mantri Square Mall, Malleshwaram, Bengaluru
Bengaluru: Lee Cooper India, a clothing and footwear manufacturing company has opened a new outlet at Mantri Square Mall, Bengaluru. In line with its ongoing retail portfolio-strengthening strategy, the brand is opening retail stores across different metro cities across the country, the brand said in a release.
Apart from the new Lee Cooper store at Mantri Square Mall, the brand’s other franchise outlets in the city are situated at JP Nagar, Ashok Nagar, Bellandur, and Jayanagar.
In 2021, Reliance Retail and US-based Iconix jointly acquired the Lee Cooper brand’s rights for India. Prior to this, the manufacturing rights of the brand were held by Future Lifestyle Fashions, owned by Kishore Biyani.
In December 2022, Lee Cooper opened three stores in India, one each in Pune, Manipal, and Gwalior respectively. In November 2022, it opened a store in Indore.
Lee Cooper, an English- American distributor of branded denim clothing, accessories, and footwear was founded in 1908 Morris Cooper. In 1989, the Cooper family sold their majority stake in the business and since then Lee Cooper has become a ‘lifestyle’ brand, operating in more than seventy markets across the world.
Lee Cooper was introduced as a footwear brand in India by M&B Footwear in the year 1995. Headquartered in London the brand celebrated its 100th year anniversary in 2018.
