Burberry Group, the UK-based luxury retailer, is on the verge of ending its tie-up with the UAE-based Jashanmal Group in India and is reported to be looking for an Indian partner.

The 150-year-old retailer currently has three stores in the country at Delhi and Bangalore. It had set up its first store in September 2008. The increased focus of the Burberry group on emerging markets like India stems from the fact that, in 2008-09 emerging markets contributed 9 % of its sales, up from 6% the year before.
