In October 2006, the Ravi Jaipuria-held company RJ Corp signed an exclusive master franchise agreement with Disney Consumer Products to source and market Disney products through exclusive Disney Artist stores in India. The first of the stores, which was expected to open in January 2007, is now scheduled for a March 17th launch at MGF Mega Mall, Gurgaon.
Under the Disney Artist brand in India, RJ Corp will retail a vast range of Disney character-led products aimed at the kids and youth category. RJ Corp will open five Disney Artist stores in Mumbai and Delhi before expanding to other major markets of India.
