Italian label ETRO opens in India

Italian fashion house ETRO opened the doors of its first India boutique at the Palladium Mall, Mumbai recently. The 1500 square feet store showcases men’s apparel, accessories for both men and women and home collections. The interior décor and furnishings are in line with the Etro boutiques worldwide – dark walnut and gray lacquered paneling on the walls, large orange and fuchsia carpets on floors plate glass and steel bars for the display units, and wengé wood and plate glass for tables. The boutique carries the latest Autumn Winter 2010 collection for men and women.

The product range comprises of suits, shirts, cuff links, ties, pocket squares, bags, belts and shoes for men and accessories like bags, shoes, neck pieces and earrings for women. The second Etro boutique opens at the UB City Mall in Bangalore. The 1000 sq ft store will house only men’s apparel and accessories.

Etro is brought to India by Genesis Luxury which has earlier brought premium designer labels such as Paul Smith, Canali, Kenzo, Just Cavalli, Bottega Veneta and Jimmy Choo to India. Recently, Genesis has also entered into a joint venture with the iconic fashion house Burberry to form Burberry India.

Genesis Luxury Fashion Pvt. Ltd. plans to open 50 to 70 luxury retail stores for its brands across the country in the next 3-4 years.
