Fortune Foods, a food and beverage processing company, has announced its unaudited financial results for the quarter ended September 30, 2008. The net sales of the Maharastra-based company stood at Rs 45.27 lakh, a considerable dip from last year’s corresponding figures of Rs 166.87 lakh. The total expenditure of the company in the second quarter also authored a huge slump to Rs 38.51 lakh from previous year’s corresponding statistics of Rs 160.47 lakh.
Fortune Foods provides processing and packaging solutions in foods and beverages.The company, on its website, claims to produce ‘Appy fizz’, a carbonated apple drink for Parle Agro.
Meanwhile, the profit of the company for the period settled at Rs 6.76 lakh, which was Rs 6.40 in the corresponding three months ended in the previous year (September 30, 2007).
