ITC is planning to promote and revive indigenous varieties of coarse cereals at its Choupal Pradarshan Khet in Madhya Pradesh. An agri-extension activity, this will promote traditional varieties like bajra, sorghum, mustard seed and even soyabean.
ITC will invest Rs 20 crore in the project. The company signed an MoU with the MP government yesterday. Plans include developing 17,000 Choupal Pradarshan Khets in Madhya Pradesh.
