Arvind Murjani Brands Pvt. Ltd has launched the country’s first shop-in-shop format of Tommy Hilfiger in Bangalore. Located at Lifestyle, the 1,700 square feet shop-in-shop was launched with Tommy’s latest Spring/Summer 2007 collection. This makes it the ninth outlet of Tommy Hilfiger Apparel in India. Currently, the brand has eight flagship stores and one shop-in-shop in seven cities across India.

Speaking to an IMAGES Group correspondent at the launch, Shailesh Chaturvedi, CEO, Arvind Murjani Brands, informed that Tommy would be launching yet another outlet this month at an upcoming mall in Ahmedabad, taking the brand’s retail presence to an eighth city. The brand is also contemplating six new doors/shop-in-shop formats by the year-end. “By end-2007, we plan to launch a total of 20 stores across eight to nine cities in India,” said Chaturvedi. As for its presence in South India, there are already two stores in Bangalore and a store each in Chennai and Hyderabad, with plans to open two more in Bangalore, the count will go up to six retail outlets in southern India by end-2007.

Tommy Hilfiger Apparel was launched in India in 2004 through Arvind Murjani Brands Pvt. Ltd, a joint-venture between the Murjani Group and Arvind Brands Ltd.
