Wadhawan Food Retail (WFRL) is said to have acquired Sangam Direct. Sangam Direct is a non-store home delivery retail business, owned by Hindustan Uniliiver Ltd (formerly HLL), through its wholly owned subsidiary UIFL.
WFRL is a division of DHFL, a Delhi-based housing finance company. WFRL owns food and grocery retail chain called Spinach. Spinach has a number of stores spread across Mumbai and Pune. The deal signed between WFRL and UIFL has come into effect from March 31, 07. The amount of the deal has not been disclosed.
