“We have set up a store in ITC Maurya, New Delhi. We may look at replicating the model in other properties if the pilot project takes off,” quoted Atul Chand, divisional chief executive, ITC Lifestyle Retailing in the report.
Wills Lifestyle, which has registered 25 per cent growth in 2007-08, is targeting a 20 per cent growth for its premium Wills Lifestyle brand in 2008-09. The company plans to add 10 stores this year and will carry the figure to 100 by 2012, from its existing 55 stores mark. “Currently, we have 55 stores and will be scaled to 100 by 2012. We will be adding 10 new stores this year,” concluded Atul.
The company currently runs 14 star hotels in the premium category.
