Provogue plans to merchandise official Indian Cricket League (ICL) gear such as wristbands, bandanas and caps, apparel, accessories and team jerseys, in its outlets in Chandigarh, Kolkata, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Delhi and Chennai, as the six ICL teams represent these cities.
“With this association, we want to strengthen ‘P’ like Nike’s ‘swoosh’. The brand has also planned another innovation. Now, buyers can have their names embossed on accessories at the store. This facility will be available from this weekend or early next week,” said Aarti Poddar, vice president, marketing, Provogue India Ltd.
Targeting masses, the products have been priced reasonably between Rs 150 to Rs 500.
Describing association with cricket as an experiment, Poddar said: “Cricket never fails and we are positive.”
