Titan to open 40 new outlets by March ‘10

Titan Industries, part of Tata group, has planned to open 40 new stores in the country over the next one year and will open stores in cities including Chennai, Delhi, Kolkata, Salem, Pune and Madurai, according to media reports.

“We plan to add 40 stores by the end of arch 2010 out of which half 50 per cent would be company-owned and the remaining would be franchisee outlets. We have planned to invest around Rs 50 lakh per store,” quoted Harish Bhat, COO, Titan Industries in the reports.

Currently, the company operates 260 stores, both company owned and franchise outlets across the country.
