Unitech reduces rental at Delhi shopping mall

Must Read

Real estate development and town- planning company, Unitech plans to reduce the rentals of its Unitech Metro Walk mall at Rohini in west Delhi by about 15 per cent. Presently, the 2,20,000 square feet mall has a rental of Rs 100-150 per square feet, said a report.

According to reports, the mall does not have full retail occupancy despite higher footfalls because of high rentals. To rationalise the plan Unitech plans to switch to 6 to 12 per cent revenue sharing with retailers.

Unitech is already into revenue sharing with McDonald’s. The company runs three malls in Delhi, NCR and Gurgaon, the report added.
