India loses its cosmetic client

Must Read

French skincare and fragrance brand Clarins has now stopped acquiring its quota of sandalwood oil from Indian sandalwood trees. Courtin Clarins, Chairman, Clarins, asserted that although Indian sandalwood trees produced the best oil which was used to make Clarins’ signature face and body treatment oils, lately Indian trees have been badly pillaged and are fast disappearing from the country because of over logging. Clarins is now looking at Australia as a sustainable and environmentally responsible supplier. The purity of Australian sandalwood oil, and the way it is sustainably extracted and processed by TFS, a listed forestry company, are some of the main reasons why the brand is extremely keen on the same.
