New Delhi: Gurugram-based omnichannel eyewear retail chain Lenskart has opened its 14th store in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), as per a social media post by a company official.

The new Lenskart store is located at City Center Deira.

“We are thrilled to announce the grand opening of our 14th store in the heart of the UAE, located at City Centr Deira,” said Mahmoud Elfeky, associate vice president retail, Lenskart in a LinkedIn post.

“We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the incredible #DCCLeasingTeam for their unwavering support and dedication in making this milestone a reality. Thank you for helping us bring our vision to life. Join us as we celebrate this momentous occasion and experience retail redefined at our stunning new location,” added Elfeky.

In 2021, Lenskart expanded its operations into the Middle East by launching its first store in Dubai, UAE. The company plans to invest approximately $50 million, as outlined in a blog post on Lenskart’s website. This move reflected Lenskart’s strategic intent to extend its presence beyond India and explore international markets.

Continuing its expansion spree in the Middle East market, the eyewear retailer recently opened four new stores in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia with three in Riyadh and one in Jeddah.

Lenskart was founded in 2010 by Peyush Bansal, Amit Chaudhary and Sumeet Kapahi. With over 1,100 stores strategically located in major cities like Delhi, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, and Chennai across India, the company’s online platform and retail outlets collectively offer a collection of more than 5,000 eyewear styles, according to information available on the company’s website.
