Note Ban: Samsung launches buy now, pay after 60 days offer on consumer durables

At a time when Indian consumers are facing cash crunch due to demonetization of Rs 500 and Rs 1000 denominations, Samsung India has introduced offers that allow consumers to buy now but after 60 days in EMI, across consumer durables.
The market leader in consumer durables and mobile phones, has announced zero down payments, easy equal monthly installments and delayed payments post purchase, on all its consumer durable products till the year end.
“Samsung always strives to make the lives of its consumers easier through our innovative range of products,” Vice President, Samsung India Electronics, Rajeev Bhutani said in the press release.
“We have announced exciting and innovative offers to simplify consumer buying and giving them the power to discover new experiences,” he added.
During the offer period till December 31, 2016, consumers purchasing Samsung televisions, air-conditioners, refrigerator, washing machine, micro-wave oven will be able to avail three offers.
One, under buying cash free scheme, consumers do not have to pay anything at the time of purchase and can pay in 10-12 monthly installments. Large format retailers like Croma have already started such schemes.
In the second scheme – buy now, pay after 60 days – consumers can enjoy a 60 day payment holiday with payment later in eight EMIs. Samsung is also offering Credit Card based EMIs ranging from 3 to 12 months with no payment to be made at the time of purchase, as a third option.
