Barista ties up with Freecharge for digital wallet

Must Read

Freecharge, digital payment platform, has recently announced its partnership with Barista to enable consumers to go cashless and pay with Freecharge wallet at 135 outlets across 21 cities of India.
The partnership is aimed at making the bill payment process swifter and more secure for consumers. The waiting time at the counters will reduce significantly as consumers can pay in less than 10 seconds by generating the On-The-Go-Pin on their mobiles to complete the transaction.
Earlier this month, the company extended its digital wallet services to 41 Haldiram’s outlets across 11 cities in India. The company is already in partnership with McDonalds and Café Coffee Day.

Speaking about this partnership, Govind Rajan, CEO, Freecharge, said, “We have enjoyed a mutually beneficial partnership with Barista for many years and are excited to extend this partnership to powering offline payments at their outlets. With this partnership, we aim to assist Barista in its cashless journey and elevate the payment experience for its consumers with our world-class technology. This is also a great addition to Freecharge’s acceptance in Food and Beverage sector in India. We have received a phenomenal response to our partnerships with McDonalds and Café Coffee Day which were activated earlier this year. Each partnership is a testimony of an overall thrust to drive digital transactions in offline scenarios as we work towards our vision of a less cash society.”
Freecharge’s On-The-Go-Pin has been developed keeping in mind the requirements of Quick Serving Restaurants (QSRs) and other sectors which look at providing fast service to their customers.
