In an innovative marketing campaign, several Mumbai dabbawalas delivered KFC’s meal boxes, along with their usual tiffin boxes to customers. The new boxes contained a combination of popular KFC dishes such as chicken burger, rice and gravy, hash brown, hot and crispy chicken and hot wings.
The dabbawalas surprised their existing customers with complimentary 5-in-1 Meal Boxes along with their ordinary meal.
Mumbai’s Dabbawalas daily serve home-cooked food to over 200,000 Mumbaikars, on occasions putting their own lives at risk. They’ve also been the subject of a Harvard study and have been invited to attend a UK royal wedding.
