S/S ’14 Trends by Wella Professionals

Must Read

Wella Professionals unveil the Spring Summer 2014 collection for those who desire for comfort yet be with-it. Inspired by Urban Native lifestyle movement, the collection showcases the casually messy look. Suitably called the Undone Collection, the looks have been created to satisfy the needs of consumers who want comfort with technology and are introduced to balance urban living and nature, in response to a complex daily life.

Created by two stylist teams of Wella Professionals – one comprised of Dmitry Vinokurov and Alexey Ladnov, from Russia and the second had Petra and Thomas Brockmann-Knoedler, from Germany as its members. Based on relaxed energy and openness, the Spring Summer collection portrays the Urban Native movement and translates the core aim of the ‘undone looks’ well.

Talking about the looks created by Dmitry Vinukurov, Hairstylist, Wella Professionals, said, “We tried to think of people of the future who live in the present. They feel comfortable both with nature and today’s technologies.”

Petra Brockmann-Knoedler, Hairstylist, Wella Professionals, said, “I think Urban Native is about finding the happy medium because this trend means that on one hand, you want an extremely good hair quality, but on the other, the absolute casualness of the undone.”

The duo, Dmitry Vinukurov and Alexey Ladnov, have experimented with different shades of blonde to create grungy, undone styles. Whereas, Petra and Thomas Brockmann Knoedler, have created looks that are naturally elegant with a cascading style that compliments the undone look.

Look 1: A textured cut is supported by a multi-level stonewashed strawberry blonde with a flexible cut that allows multiple styles and brings out various dimensions of the colour.

Look 2: Experimenting with a combination of easy-going, deliberately grown-out looking cut, in a bleach-blonde colour, with natural-looking roots.

Look 3: The ultimate lived-in summer look has been created by painting natural blondes, mixed with a brunette base to create the perfect sun-kissed look.

Look 4: A daring look, worn with natural grace and attitude, it has been created using unexpected colour combinations that link up with an asymmetric shape to create liquid movement and reveal surprising accents.

Look 5: Experimenting with a colour inspired by cotton stonewashed, combined with laundered bright pinks, poking through a highlighted nude blonde base. The style is formed like a bun that has been left open, loose and tousled.

Look 6: This look is virgin hair touched by the sun, combined with a youthful, soft, worn-in blonde, carried with a free-flowing texture and casual elegance.

Look 7: A relaxed glamorous look which is soft and full of life, showing premium hair at its best. The colour is an interplay of varied highs and lows in dappled camouflage placement to enhance the effortless style.

Look 8: This look redefines groomed style, by keeping a relaxed attitude. A lightened base colour is lifted naturally to add a lived-in feel to a traditional cut.

Look 9: Inspired by soft, worn-in cotton, the color is a mix of stonewashed coral and faded bright, supported by a layered cut, texturised and styled by the wind and the sea.

Look 10: A perfect organic cut worn undone, creating movement and texture in the hair. Inspired by the reflections from the surface of water, the colour is placed randomly to accentuate the movement.
