Men’s Casual Brand Blumerq to Open 270 Stores across India

Men’s casual brand Blumerq plans to open 270 new outlets across India after a test launch in the selective market for the last 12 months and generating sales of 50 million. The brand has 314 retail points including exclusive outlets across India.

Menswear market is the fastest growing apparel segment in India which is expected to grow by 11 percent to Rs 10,320 billion by 2020. “Men are moving out of old impression and are becoming more fashion conscious, choosy like women and prefer to look good than never before”, opines L. Joseph Muthaiyan, CEO, Blumerq.

He further added: “The competitive retail landscape has been witnessing aggressive growth, style and innovative positioning, targeting Indian youth by multiple players. Our store expansion plan will drive growth and allow us to reach a new set of young consumers. We are expanding our presence by adding over 20 standalone stores and 250 multi brand outlets.”

The brand is present in Karnataka, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Tamilnadu, Bihar, West Bengal, Orissa, Maharashtra, Gujarat and also on e-commerce sites. Its price range varies from Rs 399 to Rs1,899 for shirts, tees, polos, shorts, denims, and chinos.
