Dickey’s Barbecue Pit, one of the most famous barbecue chains in the US, is planning to open 60 new stores by the end of 2011. Since early this year, the chain has opened 12 stores nationwide.
In the immediate future, Dickey’s Barbecue Pit will open an outlet in Draper, Utah. This will be the first Dickey’s franchise opportunity for Draper. There are two Dickey’s Barbecue Pit locations currently operating in Utah.
“We are so thrilled Dickey’s will be expanding in Utah. We are very excited to have this new opportunity,” said Roland Dickey, Jr, president, Dickey’s Barbecue Restaurants Inc.
“As our company grows, we grow as a family. This is another great opportunity for the company. Our progress is surprising to a lot of folks, but it makes sense to us. People want to get out of the rat race,” he added.
Texas-based Dickey’s Barbecue Pit opened in 1941 and began franchising in 1994. They currently have 147 locations in 33 states in the US.
