Godrej Consumer Products Ltd, one of India’s leading FMCG firms, is planning to increase the prices for all its soaps. GCPL is one of the many FMCG companies to hike product prices in the recent past. “We are looking to hike prices by around 5 percent in the soaps category. We will need to raise prices because raw material prices have crept up. The hike will not lead to any margin expansion, it will help maintain margins,” says Adi Godrej, Chairman, Godrej Group.
