HIL to introduce breaded appetizers, yogurt ranges soon

Himalya International Ltd (HIL), India’s leading agro-based food manufacturer and exporter, is set to introduce breaded appetizers and yogurt products in the Indian market soon. Further, the company is adding paratha range to its ready-to-eat product portfolio, which will be exported to its overseas clients, informed a top company official.

Speaking to Indiaretailing, Man Mohan Malik, CMD, Himalya International Ltd, said, “Our breaded appetizer range will include breaded mushrooms, cheese, onion rings, jalepanos and egg plant while yogurt range include fat free yogurts and fruit yogurts. Both the ranges will be introduced for the first time in the Indian market and will be supplied to overseas clients as well. However, our paratha range will be exported only.”

“We are planning to launch these products in the month of April this year and are investing around Rs 400 million. We are targeting a total of 35-40 per cent growth this year from its corresponding figure in the last year,” added Malik.

Besides a huge clientele of mom-and-pop stores across the country, the company also supplies its products to organised retailers including Reliance Retail stores, Bharti Wal-Mart’s Easy Day stores and Aditya Birla’s More hypermarkets in the Indian market and ALDI in the US.
