Since 2008, when M&S signed its joint venture partnership with Reliance Retail, M&S has accelerated its expansion across India and now has a presence in 27 cities along with an online presence through leading online platforms Amazon.in, Myntra.com and Ajio.com

According to the source, Spencer’s is looking forward to grow its revenue from private labels, which has been growing at 50 per cent annually after the tie-up with Woolworths’ Chad Valley toy brand and apparel major BHPC International.

Spencer’s will dedicate about 12,000 square feet floor space to the private brand and target a turnover of Rs 10 million per month. It also plans to set up three stand-alone stores, the first of which is likely to come up in New Delhi early next year, added the source.
