Cafe Coffee Day has rolled out its 20th outlet in Pune. The company plans to roll out 20 more outlets in the city by December this year. The company has over 88 outlets in the state of Maharashtra. The 20th outlet in Pune is also the first lounge bar in the city of Pune.

The India coffee industry is becoming very competitive with the likes of Starbucks, which has submitted its revised application to FIPB, planning to open over 100 outlets in the first year of its operation. Italian coffee retailer Lavazza has already bought the Indian coffee chain Barista and has plans in store of expansion.

Cafe Coffee Day has plans to increase the total number of its outlets from 412 to 500, in 100 cities across India.
