Café Oz & Bar, launched in India by Newport Coffee Co India Pvt Ltd in 2009, has opened its second oulet in Delhi at the GK-I market. Inspired by the café culture in Australia, Café Oz & Bar offers Australian fusion-style food and beverages.
In an exclusive interaction with IndiaRetailing, Dolly Kaur, director, Café Oz, said, “The outlet in GK-I covers an area of 2,700 sq.ft with an investment of Rs 3 crore.”
Michael Carter, trade commissioner, Australian Trade Commission based in New Delhi, said, “Australia has a strong café culture. Driven by growing income levels and a young population experimenting cuisines from across the world, the Indian café culture is fast catching up. Inspired by Australia, the café and bar will offer Indian consumers the opportunity to experience Australian cuisine and café culture.”
Besides the new outlet at the GK-I market, Café Oz & Bar is present at Khan Market in Delhi and Sector 9D in Chandigarh.
Stressing that Café Oz & Bar plans to have a pan-India footprint in two years through a franchisee-driven business model, Kaur said, “We plan to roll out outlets in Amritsar, Jalandhar, Mumbai and Bangalore over the next six months.”
