    AEPC, TCS team up for tech boost in apparel industry

    ’s software services and consulting arm, (TCS) has announcede its partnership with in order to develop IT solutions for the 11,000-member apparel/textile companies registered with the latter. The new alliance will bring ‘IT-as-a-service’ model for the apparel industry and help in the creation of new growth opportunities and service level capabilities, claimed a company press release.

    Commenting on the development, Ashok Rajani, vice chairman, AEPC said, “Our industry is at a crossroads with the global outlook. Small and medium businesses (SMBs) need IT that grows with business, both in scale and business models. I look at TCS’ IT-a-as-service catering to both.”

    “For SMBs, it is not just about efficiency, but the speed in responding to global opportunities. IT-as-a service is about managing the IT for the SMB by treating every business as unique.” added Venguswamy Ramaswamy, global head, TCS.
