Belmonte, the mid-premium fashion brand from S Kumars Nationwide Limited (SKNL), is planning to enter the uniform segment through its brand ‘Uniformity’. The company has recently bagged orders from the defence sector for manufacturing uniforms.
Confirming this, RK Garg, chief operating officer of Belmonte, said, “We have already gained expertise in the premium suitings and shirtings segment, and we thought of expanding our product portfolio to include the uniform segment. So, we launched Uniformity, which is a sub-brand of Belmonte, and have already received orders of about 5.5 lakh metres worth around Rs 6 crore from the defence sector, which we should deliver in a month.”
Speaking about brand Belmonte, Garg said, “Within one-and-a-half years, Belmonte has achieved a turnover of around Rs 60 crore. We are hoping to exceed Rs 130 crore by end of this fiscal.”
Currently, Belmonte operates around 42 exclusive brand outlets and the company plans to take the number to around 200 this fiscal.
