Soft drink concentrate major Rasna Pvt. Ltd has planned to expand its chain of Devil’s Workshop by launching 100 more outlets by 2010.

Speaking to media in Kolkata, yesterday, the company’s CEO and president Subhashish Guha said: “We plan to set up around 100 exclusive brand outlets by 2010.” The company presently operates four outlets in Ahmedabad.”

The company is also planning to enter the ready-to-drink segment by launching fruit and non-fruit beverages in Saudi Arabia and Bangladesh. “We are looking for joint venture partners in Bangladesh and Saudi Arabia to launch the products by 2009,” said Guha.

The company will provide technology and marketing strategies, while local partners will be responsible for distribution.

The company has launched Fruitplus, a new summer drink, and plans to enter the snack food market. “We are test-marketing a snack food product, Tonik, in Delhi. If successful, the product will be rolled out nationally within a year,” said Guha.
