Vaidyaratnam Group to open more retail outlets

Vaidyaratnam Group, practitioner and retailer of ayurvedic medicines, has planned to expand its retail network by adding around 500 more outlets across the country by 2010.

Announcing plans, Dr ET Neelakandhan Mooss, chief physician and CEO, said, “We operate around 1,000 retail outlets, including 22 branches in all metros. To meet the requirement of the new retail outlets, we have planned to invest around four crore rupees to set up a manufacturing unit at Pollachi in Tamil Nadu.”

Along with its retail expansions, the group also plans an investment of around eight crore rupees to expand its hospital business, during the current fiscal.
