Wholesale e-commerce startup Wholesalebox said it has raised a funding of US $2 million (around Rs 13.5 crore) from a group of institutional investors.
According to a PTI report: The funds would be deployed to scale technology, roll out operations in new markets and other activities, the startup said.
Co-founder of the startup, Chandan Agarwal said that the Wholesalebox would scale up considerably faster by bringing in manufactures and retailers into the digital economy.
He said that the platform offers apparel, fashion jewellery and home furnishing at factory prices and help retailers lower purchase rates by 25-30 per cent.
