Mobikon to form strategic partnerships; aims to become the Google map of F&B data

In a funding round led by Singapore-based Jungle Ventures and two angel investors, including Puneet Pushkarna, Mobikon, the Singapore-based marketing platform for the F&B industry has raised $2.3 million (Rs 14.5 crore).
 
Mobikon has 1,500 restaurants in its network across India, Kuala Lumpur, Manila, Dubai and Singapore. The company is aiming to become the Google map of F&B data to hold large amount of data about the sector.
 
Looking at forming strategic partnerships to scale and give more value to restaurants, Mobikon will use the capital to hire 12-15 people over the next two months, mostly for India operations.
 
Samir Khadepaun, co-founder and CEO of Mobikon was reportedly quoted as saying, “The fund will be used to scale up in Manila and Dubai, and we are launching another product in August. We are also looking at forming strategic partnerships to scale and give more value to restaurants.”
