Bisleri, the packaged drinking water giant, is all set to enter the personal care segment with the launch of a fragrance-free face spray. According to R.K. Garg, Director – North, Bisleri International Pvt Ltd, the face spray is currently undergoing product development at an Aurangabad facility and will be test marketed by the end of this year. “When somebody will walk in from outside, they can spray a few drops of the Bisleri face spray onto their face, wipe it with a tissue or napkin and feel immediately refreshed. It will do for your face what a deodorant does for your body,” further says Garg.
Although the packaging sizes are not decided yet, the spray should be available in packs of 100 and 200 gm at a price of Rs50 and Rs100 respectively. The company is waiting for the test phase to be carried out before freezing the price points. For now, the face spray is slated to be introduced only in Delhi and Mumbai markets, leaving the tier II and tier III altogether since that’s not the target audience for the product. The Bisleri face spray is likely to be a successful launch as it will prove to be a local and authentic alternative to the imported face sprays available in select metros.
