The Hilton heiress is wooing Bollywood actor Kangna Ranaut, to be the Asian brand ambassador for her clothing line Paris Hilton Fashions (PHF). This is a first for an Indian actor.
Says an insider, "The brand carries Paris` signature style – fun, flashy, bright. Kangna was shortlisted because of her edgy approach to fashion. She is considered to be a stylish girl who experiments, takes risks and sets trends."
The brand researched the star`s films, her approach to clothes, her image and the rest, before zeroing in on her. After the success of her latest flick Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai, she has been offered a whopping amount to endorse PHF.
Says a source close to the actress, "Nothing is final as yet and if Kangna signs it, it will be her first international fashion brand." The actor has earlier endorsed other clothing brands, including a leading international denimwear brand but that was limited to India only. At some point Kangna also aspires to start her own clothing line which will be a reflection of her persona.
Paris launched her own fashion lineup in 2007 at a boutique in Los Angeles, USA; which went on to be an instant hit. Back then, she said the line, which included shoes, t-shirts and jeans, was "just from my closet to their closets" but apparently it has done so well it is now seeking international markets.
