Bengaluru: UK-based clothing retailer French Connection has launched its new store in Chennai at Phoenix Marketcity mall, Velachery, a mall official wrote on social media on Sunday.

“French Connection opened their store next to Nautica at the upper ground floor of Phoenix Marketcity Chennai,” said Sarath Kumar, assistant manager at The phoenix Mills Ltd. in a LinkedIn post.

In April 2023, e-commerce entity Myntra acquired the distribution and management rights for French Connection and its sub-brand FCUK, further expanding its international licensed brand portfolio. 

As a part of the licensing agreement, Myntra re-launched the brands in India, and is assisting French Connection and FCUK with wholesale distribution through a network of independent third-party franchise partners and authorised distributors.

In November 2023, Myntra launched the first new format store for French Connection in India at Phoenix Mall of Asia situated in North Bengaluru.

Founded in 1972 by Stephen Marks, French Connection is a global retailer and wholesaler of fashion clothing, accessories and homeware. Its sub-brand FCUK was launched in 1997.

Recently,  Phoenix Marketcity also welcomed Spanish clothing brand Mango Man, Italian fashion brand United Colors of Benetton, Mexican restaurant chain California Burrito and Swiss brand Victorinox’s travel gear range, the post added.
