Costa Coffee to open in Bengaluru

Devyani International, the master franchisee of London’s Costa Coffee in India, is set to open its seventh store in Bengaluru on May 12, 2010.

Speaking exclusively to IndiaRetailing, Santosh Unni,CEO, Costa Coffee India, said, "We are going to launch a 2,200 sq.ft store on May 12 at Koramangala in Bengaluru."

The investment in opening the store is Rs 45 lakh, revealed Unni. Costa Coffee has a total of 50 outlets in India including Delhi, Gurgaon, Noida, Mumbai, Pune, Agra, Jaipur, Karnal and Bengaluru covering 75,000 sq.ft area.

Richard Hyde, deputy high commissioner of the British High Commission, will inaugurate the outlet. Talking about its future expansion plans, Unni said, "We are soon going to launch our outlets in Mysore and Hyderabad."
