Must Read

Booster Juice, Canadian smoothie and juice brand, will use the mall route for its growth in India.

“Though airport retail and neighbourhood outlets do offer footfalls, it is the modern retail that will help us grow,” said Fazle A. Naqvi, MD, F.A.N. Brands Pvt Ltd, which is the master franchisee for the brand in India.

F.A.N. Brands owns six outlets of Booster Juice in India (five in Bangalore and one in Delhi).

“We would like to have three or four more outlets in Delhi during the year and in phase-II, move into other metros and smaller towns,” Naqvi told Business Line.
The company is targeting 100 Booster Juice outlets in five years.

“Currently, the investment is anywhere between Rs 15 lakh and Rs 40 lakh per outlet,” said Naqvi, who owns the outlets in India now.

Health drink
Positioned as a health drink, Booster products are priced between Rs 79 and Rs 129 and capitalises on the growing health food market in the country.

Upbeat on India
Booster Juice has 220 stores in the US and Canada and also has a presence in the UAE, Saudi Arabia and the Netherlands. The food service chain recorded $85 million sales in Canada last year.

Dale Wishewan, President and CEO, Booster Juice, said the company has been witnessing upwards of 20 per cent same-store growth and has “high expectations from the Indian market.”
